So…why the Rooted Path?

The short version:

I (Tiffany) love trees/their roots and
have been deeply impacted by findings from Biosphere II and The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohllenben.

The long (better) version:

The name “Rooted Path” reflects what we’ve learned about how growth and healing actually happen.

During the Biosphere II project, researchers noticed that trees grown in a controlled environment—protected from wind and stress—grew quickly but developed shallow, weak root systems. Without the resistance that helps roots grow strong, the trees eventually bent and broke under their own weight.

In The Hidden Life of Trees, we also learn that trees survive and flourish through deep roots, shared support, and connection—especially in difficult conditions. Strength doesn’t come from being shielded from all of life’s challenges, but from growing with support and connection in the midst of hardship.

Healing works much the same way. When life asks us to move too fast, carry too much, or adapt without enough support, we can lose our sense of steadiness or feel stuck. Therapy at Rooted Path invites you to slow down and build steadiness in relationship. We focus on what’s beneath the surface, strengthen what supports you, and move at a pace that allows for real, lasting change.

I approach therapy with the wisdom of trees. Healing happens through support and connection, allowing roots to deepen and space to open to move beyond survival to flourishing.
