Values.
Authenticity, Collaboration & Transparency
Therapy works best when it feels real. I believe you should be able to show up as you are, without having to perform or filter yourself, and still feel respected as the expert in your own life. My role is to be present, engaged, and clear about the process, while staying responsive to what you need.
You won’t be left guessing about how therapy works or what I’m thinking. I’m open about the direction of our work, share observations when it’s helpful, and explain the reasoning behind what I might suggest. Your questions, feedback, and instincts matter and help guide the work we do together.
Collaboration means this is your space. You set the pace and have a say in what we focus on and how we move forward. I bring training and experience, but you bring lived knowledge, insight, and an understanding of yourself that can’t be replaced.
My hope is to create a steady, transparent relationship built on trust—one where you feel safe to be honest, explore what matters most to you, and move toward healing in ways that align with your values and your life.
Anti-Racism & Anti-Oppression
Therapy does not exist outside of social and political context.
We are all shaped by our intersecting identities, lived experiences, and the systems we move through—and we bring all of that into the therapy room. For many people, feeling safe and seen includes knowing where their therapist stands.
You are welcome to ask me about my values, my beliefs, and how I understand the impact of systems like racism, patriarchy, homophobia, and other forms of oppression. We can talk openly about how people who look like me have caused harm, and how those harms continue to shape your experience.
As a white, femme-presenting person, I am committed to doing my own ongoing work. I will not always get it right, but when I make a mistake, I will take responsibility, listen, and work toward repair.
My hope is that, together, we can co-create a brave space to not only name the harm that has been done, but also to support you in your healing and flourishing.
Trauma-Informed & Consent-Focused
My goal is that our work together is grounded in safety, trust, and care for you and your nervous system.
In therapy, we will move collaboratively and at a pace that feels supportive, checking-in often to make sure that where we are in the process feels right for you. I pay attention to how stress and trauma show up in your body, and we adjust as needed so sessions feel steady and contained. Your voice, sense of safety, and consent guide what we explore and what our time together looks like.
